## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRMAN WAS CONDUCTING PATTERN-WORK AND RAN OUT OF FUEL BEFORE REACHING THE RUNWAY. THE AIRMAN ELECTED TO LAND THE AIRCRAFT OFF AIRPORT ON A FIELD. HE CALLED A FRIEND TO BRING HIM 5-GALLONS OF AVGAS AND THE PLAN WAS TO TAXI BACK TO THE AIRPORT, ABOUT 2 MILES. AFTER STARTING THE ENGINE AND BEGINNING THE TAXI DOWN THE A ROAD BACK TO THE AIRPORT, THE AIRMAN ELECTED TO APPLY FULL POWER AND FLY BACK TO THE AIRPORT TO SAVE TIME. DURING THE TAKEOFF ROLL, A CAR ENTERED AN INTERSECTION. THE AIRMAN PULLED BACK ON THE CONTROLS AND ENTERED A STALL. THE AIRPLANE LOST CONTROL AND ENDED UP IN A FIELD WITH SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE.
