## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT HAD RECEIVED DUAL INSTRUCTION ON 11/15/2020. PILOT INDICATED HE HAD BEEN PRACTICING TOUCH AND GO'S IN THE PATTERN FOR APPROX 20 MINUTES WHEN EVENT HAPPENED. WHEN HE WENT TO ENTER A FLARE HE WAS A LITTLE LATE, A/C HAD STARTED TO SETTLE AND THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED UP ONCE AND ON SECOND CONTACT WITH RUNWAY THE NOSE WHEEL LEFT SIDE RIM LIP FAILED ALLOWING TIRE TO ROLL OFF THE WHEEL JAMMING IN THE STRUT FORK. A/C DRIFTED TO THE RIGHT RUNNING JUST OFF THE EDGE OF THE RUNWAY AND CAUSING THE FORK TO BEND AS IT DUG INTO THE SOFT RUNWAY SHOULDER. THE VERY TIP OF THE PROP STRUCK THE GROUND AS THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP. NO FURTHER ACTION DEEMED NECESSARY AT THIS TIME. CASE CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
