HE DECIDED TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY LANDING IN A NEARBY RICE FIELD. THE AIRCRAFT LANDING GEAR BECAME STUCK IN THE MUD AND THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER. THE PILOT WAS UNINJURED, AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO ANYONE ON THE GROUND. THERE WAS SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN21LA072](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN21LA072), Dec 1, 2020: Grumman G164 (N48594), Elton, LA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The loss of engine power, which resulted in a forced landing on unsuitable terrain. The reason for the loss of engine power could not be determined based on available evidence.

## Other reports on N48594 (1)
