## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

UPON LANDING AT WILLISTON MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (X60) ON RUNWAY 04 N7786W, A 1943 TAYLORCRAFT- DCO-65, SERIAL NUMBER L-5143 EXPERIENCE A GROUND LOOP DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND SUSTAINED A PROP STRIKE ON LANDING. IN THE PROCESS OF STOPPING THE PILOT STATED, HE GOT ON THE BRAKES A LITTLE TOO HARD, ENDED UP IN THE GRASS ALONGSIDE THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP AND TIPPED FORWARD ONTO ITS NOSE. THERE WAS ONE SOLE ONBOARD WITH NO INJURIES. AN INSPECTION REVEALED DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER FROM THE PROP STRIKE AND MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LOWER ENGINE COWLINGS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
