## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON DECEMBER 25, 2020, N28064 SUSTAINED A POSSIBLE TAIL STRIKE WHILE DEPARTING FROM THE BRYCE CANYON AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT THEN FLEW DIRECT TO AND LANDED AT THE KLAS AIRPORT AND TAXIED TO THE SIGNATURE AVIATION FBO. THE REPORT FOR THIS EVENT, WAS RECEIVED BY THE LAS FSDO AT APPROXIMATELY 1820 PST (AFTER NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS AND WAS ON THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY AS WELL). THE EVENT WAS ASSIGNED ON 12/28, 2020 HOWEVER THE AIRCRAFT HAD ALREADY BEEN FLOWN TO PLAINVIEW, TX ON 12/26/2020. THIS WAS AFTER THE PILOT HAD CONTACTED AN FAA CERTIFICATED A&P MECHANIC PROVIDING HIM WITH THE DETAILS OF THE EVENT AND PICTURES OF THE AIRCRAFT. IT WAS AGREED BY BOTH THE PILOT AND THE A&P MECHANIC THAT DAMAGE WAS COSMETIC AND THE AIRCRAFT COULD BE SAFELY FLOWN WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS.

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19831129073309I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19831129073309I), Nov 29, 1983: Blanca 1730A (N28064), Sioux Falls, SD, Minor damage. Landed at night in snow covered area between runway and taxiway. One row of runway lights snow covered.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
