## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON TAKEOFF DEPARTURE ROLL FROM A REMOTE DIRT AIRSTRIP THIS AIRCRAFT ENCOUNTERED LEFT MAIN GEAR CONTACT WITH A SNOW & ICE DRIFT. THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL THE AIRCRAFT WHICH ULTIMATELY VEERED LEFT INTO A SAGEBRUSH AREA ADJACENT THE RUNWAY. BEFORE COMING TO REST THE AIRCRAFT NOSE-WHEEL ENCOUNTERED A SMALL DITCH AND THE NOSE-WHEEL COLLAPSED, EXPERIENCING POWERED PROPELLER CONTACT WITH THE GROUND. THE PILOT AND ONE PASSENGER WERE NOT INJURED AND SOUGHT NO MEDICAL ATTENTION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
