## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JANUARY 13, 2021, AT APPROXIMATELY 1740, A BEECH B36TC AIRCRAFT BEARING REGISTRATION NUMBER N837ML, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, PERFORMED AN EMERGENCY GEAR UP LANDING IN AN OPEN FIELD APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES NORTH OF THE LUBBOCK, TEXAS AIRPORT (LBB). THE PILOT STATED THAT THE AIRCRAFT?S ENGINE FAILED IN FLIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING OPERATED ON A PERSONAL FLIGHT. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME, AND NO FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE, AND THE PILOT SUSTAINED NO INJURIES. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED FROM LBB ON JANUARY 13, 2021 AT APPROXIMATELY 1720.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
