## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED THAT DURING A WESTWARD LANDING ATTEMPTED ON A RIDGE TOP, THE SUN PARTIALLY BLOCKED HIS VISION AND HE DEVIATED SLIGHTLY OFF COURSE. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN ON A SLOPE INSTEAD OF THE INTENDED TOUCH DOWN POINT. GROUND SCARRING INDICATE THAT AFTER TOUCHDOWN AND INITIAL ROLLOUT, THE PLANE BEGAN TURNING TO THE RIGHT WITH THE LEFT WING LOW. THE LEFT WINGTIP CONTACTED THE GROUND AND TURNED THE PLANE TO THE LEFT AND POINTED IT DOWNHILL. THE PILOT SAID THAT HE ADDED POWER TO CORRECT; HOWEVER, THE PLANE CONTINUED TRAVELING DOWN THE SLOPE STRIKING SEVERAL ROCK OUTCROPPINGS BEFORE COMING TO REST INVERTED IN A RAVINE.
