## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE CREW WAS CLEARED FOR A VISUAL APPROACH TO RUNWAY 7R. THE AIRCRAFT WAS DESCENDING INTO ANCHORAGE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ON RIGHT BASE. THE SIC NOTICED SPARKS AND THEN SMALL FLAMES ON THE LOWER RIGHT SIDE OF THE CO-PILOTS WINDSCREEN. THE PIC IMMEDIATELY TURNED OFF THE WINDSCREEN HEAT AND TOOK CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE CO-PILOT TURNED AND GRABBED THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE FIRE WENT OUT IMMEDIATELY. THE CREW LANDED SAFELY ON 7R AND TAXIED TO THE RAMP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
