## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N21769 DEPARTED RBD AND WAS FLYING SOUTHEAST BOUND APPX 2 MILES SOUTH OF DAL ON STANDARD SIGHTSEEING TOUR. PILOT REPORTED BIRD STRIKE ON LEFT SIDE TO DAL ATCT. PILOT. RETURNED RBD. PILOT CALLED DAL ATCT TO CONFIRM SAFE LANDING, NO INJURIES. PILOT REPORTED APPX 2 INCH DENT IN LEFT WING. CHECKED WITH AIRCRAFT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^OPERATOR, AND CONFIRMED THAT A WILDLIFE ENCOUNTER REPORT HAD BEEN FILED. VERIFIED WITH MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT THAT THE REPAIR CONSISTED OF RE-CONTOURING THE AIRCRAFT LEADING EDGE, AND THAT NO INTERNAL DAMAGE HAD OCCURRED. NO FURTHER ACTION REQUIRED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
