## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WITNESSES REPORTED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS COVERED WITH ICE WHEN IT LANDED IN MOBERLY, MO, JUST PRIOR TO THE ACCIDENT FLIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT EQUIPPED OR CERTIFIED FOR FLIGHT IN ICING CONDITIONS. AFTER DEICING, THE PILOT DECIDED TO CONTINUE THE FLIGHT IN THE SAME CONDITIONS ENCOUNTERED PRIOR TO LANDING AT MOBERLY. THE AIRCRAFT CRASHED INTO A WOODED AREA APPROXIMATELY 35 MINUTES LATER. ICING CONDITIONS PREVAILED IN THE AREA OF THE ACCIDENT WHEN IT OCCURRED.
