## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT APPROXIMATELY 06:15 ON FEBRUARY 24, 2021, N808SD BEGAN A TAKEOFF ROLL ON RUNWAY 17 AT KPJC FOR AN ON-DEMAND FLIGHT. THE 2 FLIGHT CREW WERE THE ONLY OCCUPANTS OF THE AIRCRAFT. AS THE AIRCRAFT WAS ABOUT TO LIFT OFF, 3 DEER ENTERED THE RUNWAY FROM THE RIGHT SIDE. THE AIRCRAFT MISSED THE FIRST 2 DEER, BUT THE THIRD DEER WAS STRUCK BY THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR DOOR, RESULTING IN THE DOOR BECOMING DETACHED FROM THE AIRCRAFT. DURING THIS TIME, THE RIGHT FLAP SUSTAINED PUNCTURE DAMAGE TO IT'S LEADING EDGE AND LOWER SURFACE COMPOSITE SKIN. THE CREW CONTINUED THE TAKEOFF AND NOTIFIED KPIT ATC THAT THEY WERE CANCELING THEIR IFR CLEARANCE. ONE OF THE CREWMEMBERS MOVED TO THE BACK CABIN AND CHECKED FOR DAMAGE OF THE RIGHT WING, SEEING NONE. THE CREW LOWERED THE LANDING GEAR SUCCESSFULLY, AND SUMMONED COMPANY MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL TO OBSERVE THE GEAR AND FLAPS FOR DAMAGE AS THEY MADE SEVERAL LOW PASSES OVER THE AIRPORT. THE CREW THEN LANDED THE AIRCRAFT UNEVENTFULLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
