## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 3/5/2021 AT 1630 EST, AIRCRAFT N334Q, A SEAREY LSX DEPARTED RUNWAY 4 AT VERO BEACH REGIONAL AIRPORT. UPON TAKEOFF, THE AIRCRAFT SUFFERED AN ENGINE FAILURE. PILOT TOOK IMMEDIATE ACTION TO LAND ON RUNWAY 12L, BUT LANDED 20 FEET SHORT OF THE RUNWAY. PILOT AND PASSENGER WERE ABLE TO WALK AWAY FROM THE AIRCRAFT. AIRPORT DEPLOYED FIRE RESCUE PERSONNEL TO THE SCENE. AIRCRAFT SUFFERED DAMAGE TO THE LEFT LANDING GEAR ONLY DUE TO THE IMPACT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
