## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT TAXIED OUT FROM THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ HANGAR ONTO THEIR PRIVATE GRASS FIELD PREPARING FOR A SOFT RUNWAY TAKEOFF. THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN DOWN THE CENTER OF THE RUNWAY. DUE TO SCATTERED CRAWFISH MOUNDS BUILT UP IN THE CENTER THE PILOT MANEUVERED FURTHER LEFT OF CENTER ONTO THE WEST SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. THE POOR RUNWAY CONDITIONS AND SOFTER SECTION OF THE RUNWAY PREVENTED THE AIRCRAFT FROM BUILDING UP THE PROPER TAKEOFF AND CLIMB SPEED. THE LEFT WING TIP STRUCK THE WINDSOCK SHORTLY AFTER THE WHEELS BROKE THE GROUND. SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF THE AIRCRAFT WAS PUT DOWN IN THE FIELD ACROSS THE STREET 150 YARDS FROM THE TAKEOFF POINT DUE TO LACK OF SPEED TO CLIMB OUT. UPON IMPACT IN THE SOFT FIELD THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER AND CAME TO REST UPSIDE DOWN.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN21LA158](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN21LA158), Mar 13, 2021: Cessna 150H (N50326), Paris, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s decision to takeoff with known obstacles on the runway and his subsequent failure to avoid the windsock on takeoff.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
