## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N82TA EXPERIENCED A LOUD BANG AFTER TAKE OFF AND TRANSITIONING LANDING GEAR TO THE UP POSITION FOR A PARACHUTE EVENT. PILOT TRIED TO CYCLE GEAR SEVERAL TIMES BOTH ELECTRICALLY AND MANUALLY TO SEE IF THE GEAR WOULD WORK FOR LANDING. DURING INFLIGHT CHECK OF GEAR THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR DOWN LOCK INDICATOR WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE. THE PILOT CONTINUED TO PARACHUTE JUMPING ALTITUDE AND CLEARED ALL JUMPERS AND RETURNED TO EUL FOR LANDING WITH ONLY THE PILOT ON BOARD. THE PILOT COMMUNICATED WITH TWO OTHER LOCAL AIRCRAFT TO CONFIRM GEAR POSITION. IT WAS NOTED ALL THREE GEAR LOOKED TO BE DOWN, BUT COULD NOT CONFIRM THEY WERE LOCKED. THE PILOT INITIATED A LANDING AT EUL AT THE SLOWEST SPEED POSSIBLE TO REDUCE ANY POSSIBLE DAMAGE. UPON TOUCHING DOWN AND REDUCING AIRSPEED THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT SLID TO THE RIGHT DOING A 360* SPIN OFF INTO THE APRON DIRT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS LIFTED, GEAR DOWN ARM WAS PHYSICALLY SECURED AND TOWED TO THE HANGER. DURING FAA INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT, MINIMAL DAMAGE WAS DONE TO WING SURFACE. NORMAL PROPELLER DAMAGE WAS NOTED WITH PROP STRIKE UNDER POWER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
