## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRMAN WAS LANDING A CESSNA 207 ON RUNWAY 35 AT KASIGLUK. ON TOUCHDOWN THE CROSSWIND STARTED PUSHING THE AIRPLANE TO THE RIGHT OF THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE. THE AIRMAN ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM BUT WAS STILL BEING PUSHED BY STRONGER CROSSWINDS. HE DECIDED TO GO AROUND AND ADDED POWER. AT THAT TIME THE NOSE WHEEL CAUGHT A SNOW DRIFT THAT WAS ON THE RUNWAY. THE AIRPLANE CONTINUED TO THE RIGHT AND WENT OFF THE RUNWAY AND INTO A SNOWBANK. THE AIRMAN SAID THAT FLAT LIGHT CONDITIONS PREVAILED AND HE NEVER SAW THE SNOWDRIFTS. TWO SNOWDRIFTS WERE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY APPROXIMATELY TWO TO THREE FEET HIGH AND WIDE. THE OTHER COMPANY PILOT RIDING ALONG CONFIRMED THE SEQUENCE OF EVENTS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
