## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS PERFORMING A LOCAL FLIGHT TO VERIFY AIRCRAFT ENGINE PERFORMANCE POST MAINTENANCE. RETURNED TO THE AIRPORT TO LAND. GEAR EXTENSION RESULTED IN AN UNSAFE GEAR INDICATION FOR THE NOSE LANDING GEAR (NLG). REPEATED GEAR EXTENSION PROCEDURES SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO INDICATION OF SUCCESSFUL NLG EXTENSION. ATTEMPTED EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION PROCEDURE WITH NO INDICATION OF SUCCESSFUL NLG EXTENSION. TOWER UNABLE TO VERIFY NLG GEAR STATUS. PERFORMED SOFT FIELD LANDING TO KEEP NLG OFF AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. NLG COLLAPSE ON TOUCHDOWN. NO FIRE, NO FUEL LEAKS, NO INJURIES, MINOR DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
