## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

TURNING FINAL, IT WAS CHOPPY WITH A CROSS WIND REPORTED AT GUSTING 17 KTS AS I RECALL. AIR SPEED WAS 75 -80 KTS, TOUCHED DOWN AS PLANNED.

CONTINUED TO TAXIWAY KILO WHICH IS A 120 DEGREE LEFT TURN . I MADE THE TURN ABOUT 25-30 FT FROM EDGE. ATTEMPTED TO STRAIGHTEN OUT, BUT AIRCRAFT KEPT TURNING LEFT. APPLIED RIGHT BRAKE, THEN BOTH BRAKES, BUT THERE WAS NO CORRECTION, OR MUCH OF A SLOW DOWN. IT KEPT GOING OFF EDGE OF TAXIWAY INTO SIGN.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN21LA178](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN21LA178), Apr 1, 2021: Cessna 182 (N94810), Austin, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control while turning onto the taxiway in variable wind conditions.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
