## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON LAST PASS OVER THE FIELD?S EDGE NEAR FIVE POWER LINES, THE THREE LOWER LINES WERE LARGER WITH THE TOP TWO BEING MUCH SMALLER. THE PILOT STATED HE HAD HIS VISION FIXED ON THE THREE LOWER POWER LINES AND DID NOT SEE THE UPPER TWO. AS HE FLEW OVER THE POWER LINES HIS LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR STRUCK THE UPPER LINE AND AS A RESULT CAUSED THE LOWER PORTION OF THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR TO SEPARATE FROM THE AIRCRAFT AND FALL INTO THE FIELD. ONCE THE PILOT NOTICED ALL OF HIS INSTRUMENTS WORKING AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS OPERATING WELL HE CALLED HIS PARTNER WHO WAS SPRAYING ANOTHER FIELD NEARBY TO VISUALLY CHECK HIS AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT STATED THE OTHER PILOT WAS ABLE TO VISUALLY INSPECT THE AIRCRAFT AND TOLD HIM THE LEFT MAIN GEAR WAS MISSING. AT THAT TIME THE PILOT HEADED BACK TO THEIR HOME BASE A FEW MILES AWAY AND TO A LONG GRASS HAY MEADOW AND LANDED THE AIRCRAFT WITH ANY OTHER FURTHER INCIDENTS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
