## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE INVESTIGATION OF THIS INCIDENT REVEALED THAT THE LANDING GEAR WAS PARTIALLY EXTENDED. IN THIS CASE THE NOSE GEAR DOORS WERE JUST OPEN. BOTH MAIN GEAR APPEARED TO HAVE EQUAL EXTENSION, APPROXIMATELY IN THE FIRST 20% OF MOVEMENT TO THE DOWN POSITION. IN THE COCKPIT THE GEAR HANDLE WAS IN THE DOWN POSITION. THE LANDING GEAR CIRCUIT BREAKER WAS POPPED. THIS CONDITION APPEARS TO BE CONSISTENT WITH THE PILOTS? STATEMENT. DURING A PHONE INTERVIEW ON 04/13/2021, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ SHARED THAT THE TURBULENCE COUPLED WITH THE EXTREME DIFFICULTY IN MAKING RADIO CONTACT WITH KLCK TOWER LED TO HIS CHANNELIZED ATTENTION, RESULTING IN HIS FAILURE TO COMPLETE HIS NORMAL ?LANDING FLOW? HABIT PATTERN AND THEREFORE FAILED TO VERIFY THE GEAR WAS FULLY EXTENDED PRIOR TO LANDING.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ RECEIVED COUNSELING FOR THIS EVENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
