## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON APRIL 10TH, AT 1330, A CESSNA 150 AIRCRAFT ABORTED TAKE-OFF, AND CAME TO REST APPROXIMATELY 500 FEET AFTER THE END OF THE RUNWAY, AT THE TISHOMINGO AIRPORT.TIRE MARKS WERE EVIDENT FROM THE END OF THE RUNWAY, TO WHERE THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST. THE FIRST EVIDENCE OF ABNORMAL CONTACT WAS A PROPELLER MARKING IN THE SOIL, IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY A HEAVY PROPELLER MARK, FOLLOWED BY GROUND MARK EVIDENCE OF NOSE GEAR COLLAPSE. EXAMINATION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED THAT ALL FLIGHT CONTROL CONTINUITY WAS INTACT, BUT WITH LIMITED RUDDER TRAVEL DUE TO THE NOSE LANDING GEAR INTERFERING WITH RUDDER PEDAL CROSS SHAFT. FUEL WAS PRESENT IN BOTH FUEL TANKS, WITH NO EVIDENCE OF WATER CONTAMINATION.

THE AIRPORT IS CLOSELY SURROUNDED BY TALL TREES CONTAINED WITHIN A WILD LIFE REFUGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN21LA188](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN21LA188), Apr 10, 2021: Cessna 150M (N439WT), Tishomingo, OK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s decision to abort the takeoff on encountering a wind gust and his landing beyond the end of the runway that resulted in the airplane impacting a ditch collapsing the nose landing gear.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
