## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS CONDUCTING TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS, AT CDA AIRPORT. ON ONE OF THE LANDINGS, THE PILOT DIDN?T HAVE ENOUGH ROTOR SPEED, AND STARTED TO BOUNCE. THE PILOT REPORTED BOUNCING OFF THE RUNWAY, AND LANDED IN THE DIRT NEXT TO THE RUNWAY AND ENDED UP ON ITS SIDE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR21LA165](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR21LA165), Apr 17, 2021: Bryan S Happell TANGO2 (N886T), Hayden, ID, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to control the pitch attitude of the gyroplane during landing, which resulted in a loss of control, runway excursion and collision with terrain.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
