## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ (CFI) WAS HIRED BY ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ TO PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONAL TRAINING IN THIS AIRCRAFT. DURING LANDING ON RUNWAY 22L WITH A LEFT CROSSWIND 130 AT 10 GUSTING 22, THE NEWLY LICENSED PILOT WAS UNCOMFORTABLE WITH LANDING THE AIRCRAFT AND DECIDED TO TRANSFER THE CONTROLS TO THE INSTRUCTOR PILOT TO LAND THE AIRCRAFT.

THE CFI TOOK CONTROL OF THE AIRCAFT ALIGNING THE AIRCRAFT WITH THE RUNWAY22L. AFTER TOUCHDOWN, THE PILOT LOSS CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT VEERED TO THE LEFT. THE CFI INDUCED FULL RIGHT RUDDER AND FULL LEFT AILERON CONTROLS. DURING THIS LANDING EVENT, THE AIRCRAFTS RIGHT MAIN GEAR AND LOWER FUSELAGE, STRUCK RUNWAY SIGNAGE WHILE THE PILOT WAS TRYING TO GAIN CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO SLOW THE AIRCRAFT DOWN WHILE GOING THROUGH THE DIRT OFF THE SIDE OF RUNWAY 22L. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
