## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON APRIL 22, 2021, AT APPROXIMATELY 21:10 LOCAL TIME A CESSNA R182, N215CC, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ OPERATED BY A PRIVATE PILOT, RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE DURING LANDING ROLLOUT ON RUNWAY 18 AT BAY CITY, JAMES CLEMENTS (3CM) WHEN THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE SECOND OF TWO DEER RUNNING ACROSS THE RUNWAY FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED FROM ALLEGAN, PADGHAM FIELD (35D) AT APPROXIMATELY 19:50 LOCAL TIME UNDER DAY VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS, AND UPON LANDING AT 3CM THE CONDITIONS WERE STILL VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL. THE FLIGHT WAS BEING CONDUCTED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF TITLE 14 CODE OF REGULATIONS (CFR) PART 91 AND THE PILOT WAS IN CONTACT WITH GREAT LAKES APPROACH THE ENTIRE TRIP. THE PILOT AND PASSENGER, WHO IS ALSO A PRIVATE PILOT, WERE UNINJURED WHEN THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED THE DEER APPROXIMATELY 900FT FROM THE THRESHOLD AND WERE THEN ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY TAXI THE AIRCRAFT TO PARKING. INITIAL INSPECTION INDICATES THAT ONE PROPELLER BLADE IS LOOSE IN THE HUB AND THE LEFT LOWER ENGINE COWLING IS CRUSHED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
