## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRMAN DEPARTED PAAQ IN HIS C-140 AND WAS PRACTICING LANDINGS ON A GRAVEL BAR NEAR THE KNIK GLACIER. UPON LANDING THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN SLOWING RAPIDLY AND THE TAIL CAME UP AND THE AIRPLANE NOSED OVER AND FLIPPED ONTO ITS BACK. THE PILOT SUSPECTED THE MAIN WHEELS HIT A SOFT/MUSHY GRAVEL SPOT ON THE GRAVEL BAR AND HE MIGHT HAVE APPLIED BRAKES A LITTLE TOO HEAVILY, CAUSING THE PLANE TO FLIP OVER. 1 PERSON ON BOARD (JUST THE PILOT), NO INJURIES, AIRCRAFT SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED.
