## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE INSTRUCTING IN N5298N AIRMAN ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS HIT WHILE TAXIING. AIRMAN ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ IN N6186V WITH A STUDENT WAS ALSO TAXIING. AIRMAN ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS TAXIING IN AIRPLANE WITH STUDENT AND HAD ALREADY ESTABLISHED HIS TAXI SPEED AND TAXI DIRECTION. AIRMAN ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS WAITING FOR AIRMAN ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ BUT DECIDED TO TRY AND ENTER TAXIWAY BEFORE THE AIRCRAFT WAS PAST HER. AIRMAN ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ UNDER ESTIMATED THE SPEED OF THE AIRMAN ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ AND PULLED OUT OF HER PARKING SPOT AS HE WAS APPROACHING. AIRMAN ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ DID NOT HAVE TIME TO APPLY BRAKES AS AIRMAN ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ HAD BEGUN HER TURN AND THE WINGS OF BOTH AIRCRAFT COLLIDED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
