## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATEMENT:

WEDNESDAY MAY 5TH 2021 I WAS BACK-TAXING TO THE END OF RUNWAY 8 TO DO A RUNUP IN THE RUNUP

AREA BEFORE MY TAKE OFF. AS I APPROACHED THE END OF THE RUNWAY, I SLOWED TO MAKE MY LEFT TURN

INTO THE RUNUP AREA. I THEN STARTED MY HARD LEFT TURN BY APPLYING THE LEFT RUDDER AND SOME LEFT

BRAKE TO ASSIST THE TURN. AS SOON AS I DID THIS THE LEFT BRAKE FADED. I PUMPED THE LEFT BRAKE

TRYING TO GET BRAKING PRESSURE BACK TO GET THE PLANE TO TURN LEFT, THEN APPLIED BOTH BRAKES IN FULL,

LOCKING UP THE RIGHT TIRE AS PICTURED. I SLOWLY ROLLED OFF THE END OF RUNWAY 8, STRIKING A RUNLIGHT

LIGHT WITH THE PROP, COMING TO A STOP 3 FEET OR SO OFF THE RUNWAY. THERE WAS NO DROP RPM,

VIBRATIONS, OR AUDIBLE SOUNDS COMING FROM THE ENGINE. I THEN TURNED THE ENGINE OFF MYSELF

USING NORMAL SHUTDOWN PROCEDURES. THERE WAS NO PROPERTY DAMAGE OTHER THAN THE LIGHT, AND

PROP. NO ONE WAS INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
