## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHEN LANDING, THE RIGHT SEAT PILOT/FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR STATED THAT AT APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET ABOVE GROUND LEVEL, THE LEFT SEAT PILOT CALLED OUT A LOSS OF LEFT RUDDER AUTHORITY AS THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED TOWARD THE EAST AND THE AIRSPEED SLOWED. THE RIGHT SEAT PILOT/FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR STATED THE AIRCRAFT HAD ENTERED INTO A QUARTERING HEADWIND TO TAILWIND SHEAR. THE LEFT SEAT PILOT INITIATED A GO-AROUND; HOWEVER, THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT CLIMB AND CONTINUED TO DRIFT AND DESCENDED INTO A TAXIWAY SIGN. THE RIGHT SEAT PILOT/FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR THEN TOOK CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT AND COMPLETED THE LANDING.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
