## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 21, 2021 AT MIDWAY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, CHICAGO, IL, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, WAS PROCEDING ON THEIR ATC CLEARANCE TO TAXI TO RUNWAY 22L, FROM GATE B-14 VIA TAKIWAYS TANGO AND YANKEE. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, HAD JUST LANDED AND WAS PROCEEDING TO GATE B-15 VIA YANKEE.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ PARTIALLY CLEARED THE TAXIWAY AS THEY APPROACHED GATE B-15 BUT STOPPED SHORT BECAUSE MARSHALLERS HAD NOT YET ARRIVED. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THEREFORE, HAD NOT FULLY ENTERED THE NON-MOVEMENT AREA.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS PROCEEDING ON TAXIWAY YANKEE AND HAD TO PASS BEHIND ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. THE CAPTAIN OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ ASKED THE FIRST OFFICER IF THE RIGHT WING WOULD CLEAR THE OTHER AIRCRAFT IF THEY CONTINUED TAXIING BEHIND ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. THE FIRST OFFICER ANSWERED IN THE AFIRMATIVE. THE CAPTAIN ALSO NOTED THAT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS READY TO MOVE AHEAD SO HE ALTERED HIS PATH, STEERING SLIGHTLY LEFT OF THE TAXIWAY CENTER LINE, AND CONTINUED HIS MOVEMENT BEHIND ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. A COLLISION OCCURRED AND THE RIGHT WINGLET OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STRUCK THE RIGHT AND LEFT HORIZONTAL STABILIZERS AND ELEVATORS OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, AND MINOR DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT WINGTIP OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER THE COLLISION, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ CONTINUED INTO GATE B-15. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, WAS GIVEN FURTHER TAXI INSTRUCTIONS VIA RUNWAY 22L, YANKEE, TO GATE B-22. ALL PASSENGERS AND CREW DEPLANED VIA JETWAYS INTO THE TERMINAL AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES.
