## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT HAD FLOWN FROM MANKATO, MN (KMKT) TO SIOUX FALLS, SD (FSD) ON A CROSS COUNTRY FLIGHT. LANDED RUNWAY 33 AT FSD AND WAS GIVEN HIS TAKEOFF CLEARANCE. WINDS WERE 280 AT 12 WITH GUST. PILOT STARTED TAKEOFF ROLL, VEARED LEFT AND WENT OFF RUNWAY. AFTER GOING OFF RUNWAY AIRCRAFT PROP STRUCK THE GROUND. PILOT THEN STOPPED AIRCRAFT IN GRASS. THE PILOT WAS THE ONLY OCCUPANT AND HE WAS NOT INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
