## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS WAS THE SECOND FLIGHT IN THE AIRCRAFT FOR THE DAY BUT THE FIRST FLIGHT IN THE AIRCRAFT ON THAT DAY FOR THIS PILOT. THE PILOT TAXIED FROM HIS HANGAR TO RUNWAY 31 FOR TAKE OFF. THE PILOT THEN PROCEEDED TO TAKE OFF FROM THAT RUNWAY. ACCORDING TO VARIOUS WITNESS STATEMENTS THE AIRCRAFT SEEMED TO HAVE A NORMAL TAKEOFF ROLL AND INITIAL LIFT OFF. AFTER LIFT OFF THE AIRCRAFT APPEARED TO BE AT A HIGH NOSE UP ANGLE OF ATTACK. THE AIRCRAFT THEN APPEARED TO ROLL TO THE RIGHT BEFORE THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT PITCHED DOWN AND IMPACTED THE GROUND.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR21FA210](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR21FA210), May 27, 2021: Mark Coby Early Bird Jenny (N831HC), Stoneville, NC, destroyed, 1 fatal. Probable cause: The pilot’s exceedance of the airplane’s critical angle of attack during the takeoff initial climb, which resulted in an aerodynamic stall and a loss of control.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
