## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT 7AM THE PILOT FLEW ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ TO SHILOH AIRPORT (SIF), THEN TO WARF'S AIRPORT (6A5) TO PRACTICE SHORT FIELD TAKEOFFS ON RUNWAY 17. DURING TAKEOFF AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY THE ENGINE SPUTTERED AND QUIT. THE PILOT DROPPED THE NOSE AND MADE A SHALLOW LEFT TURN AND DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH ALTITUDE & AIRSPEED TO MAKE IT BACK TO THE RUNWAY. HE STALLED THE PLANE OVER A PINE THICKET AND LET THE TAIL DROP IN FIRST, LANDING APPROXIMATELY 80 FEET OFF THE RUNWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 8:15AM.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
