## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 06-08-2021, AT APPROXIMATELY 1236 EDT (1636 Z), N221DJ, A 2011 OLSON DORIAN, SEAWIND 3000, WHILE BEING UTILIZED TO PROVIDE FLIGHT INSTRUCTION FLIGHT WITH TWO SOLES ONBOARD ENROUTE TO SARASOTA/BRADENTON, FL (SRQ)THE PIC STATED WHILE ON FINAL APPROACH THEY REALIZED THAT THE RIGHT MAIN, GEAR DOWN-LIGHT WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE. THE PIC CONTACTED THE TOWER TO ASK THEM TO VISUALLY CHECK THE GEAR AS HE COULD NOT VISUALLY VERIFY THAT THE RIGHT MAIN HAD CYCLED UP OR DOWN. THE TOWER ADVISED THAT THREE (3) PERSONNEL HAD OBSERVED ALL THREE (3) OF OUR WHEELS WERE IN THE DOWN POSITION. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 14 AND THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED DURING ROLLOUT. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST IN THE GRASSY SAFETY AREA OF RUNWAY 14/32. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED NO DAMAGE AND THE PILOTS WERE UNINJURED. A POST INCIDENT EXAMINATION OF THE

AIRCRAFT, REVEALED THAT THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR OLEO STRUT HAD FAILED WHICH PREVENTED THE GEAR FROM

RETRACTING. THE GEAR ?UP? INDICATION WAS DUE TO THE ACTUATOR CONTACTING THE ?UP LIGHT? SWITCH. THE

MAIN GEAR APPEARED DOWN BECAUSE IT WAS EXTENDED; HOWEVER, IT WAS JUST NOT EXTENDED FULLY AND

LOCKED IN PLACE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
