## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 15TH AROUND 2:00PM ON A CLEAR AFTERNOON THE PIC WAS TAKING OFF FROM TRICITIES AIRPORT USING RUNWAY 5. WHEN THE PIC WAS CLIMBING THROUGH ABOUT 500-700FT AGL, HE CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF A BLACK FLASH OUT OF THE CORNER OF HIS EYE AND THEN HE SAW IT HIT THE FRONT RIGHT SIDE OF THE NOSE ON THE AIRCRAFT. HE ADVISED ATC AND STATED HE WISHED TO RETURN FOR LANDING. ATC VECTORED HIM BACK AROUND FOR A LANDING ON RUNWAY 5 AND THE AIRCRAFT HAD NO ADVERSE HANDLING QUALITIES AND A NORMAL LANDING FOLLOWED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
