## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

INTERVIEWING THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, "^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED THAT HE WAS A LITTLE HIGH BECAUSE OF THE TREE LINE WHICH IS USUAL LANDING TO THE SOUTH. HE STATED HE LANDED LONG APPROXIMATELY MID FIELD AND BOUNCED ONCE, HE SAID HE STARTED TO VEER LEFT AND TRIED TO CORRECT BUT AIRPLANE WOULD NOT CORRECT EVEN THOUGH HE APPLIED RIGHT RUDDER AND BRAKE. (HE STATED THAT WHEN HE PICKED UP THE AIRPLANE AFTER ITS ANNUAL THE RIGHT BRAKE SEEMED A LITTLE DIFFERENT BUT NOT ENOUGH TO RAISE ALARM JUST THAT IT SEEMED HARD AND NOT THE SAME AS HE WAS USE TO) HE CONTINUED TO VEER LEFT AND THOUGHT THAT HE WOULD TRY TO GROUND LOOP BY APPLYING LEFT BRAKE AND RUDDER TO KEEP FROM HITTING THE HANGER", HOWEVER HE RAN INTO THE CORNER OF THE BUILDING (EASTERLY) RIGHT WING STRIKING FIRST WHICH SEPARATED THE RIGHT WING FROM THE AIRCRAFT AND THEN TURNED (SOUTH) DRIVING THE PROP THROUGH THE HANGER DOOR AND COMING TO REST. THE PILOT RECEIVED NO INJURIES HOWEVER HIS PASSENGER ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS INJURED AND TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN21LA275](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN21LA275), Jun 16, 2021: Aeronca 11AC (N85930), Baltimore, OH, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s loss of directional control during landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
