## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE INCIDENT FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT NORTH TEXAS REGIONAL AIRPORT (GYI) AFTER OBTAINING FIVE GALLONS OF FUEL. WITHIN 20 MINUTES OF DEPARTURE FROM GYI, AT A CRUSE ALTITUDE OF 4500 FEET MSL, THE ENGINE LOST POWER. AN AUTOROTATION WAS INITIATED AND EMERGENCY LANDING ACCOMPLISHED. THE GYROCOPTER ROLLED OUT AND INTO A DRAINAGE DITCH WITH TWO FEET OF WATER. THE MAIN ROTOR STRUCK THE GROUND, BENDING ONE BLADE. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.
