WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LAND AT 1C3 ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED HE FELT HE WAS TOO FAR TO THE RIGHT AND TOO LONG IN HIS APPROACH. HE THEN ADDED POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT AND PULLED AFT ON THE STICK. THE AIRCRAFT ENTERED A STALL SPIN AND IMPACTED THE GROUND NOSE FIRST TO THE RIGHT OF THE RUNWAY AT 1C3.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA21LA260](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA21LA260), Jun 17, 2021: Bellanca 8KCAB (N1182E), Argyle, NY, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain adequate airspeed during landing, which led to the airplane exceeding its critical angle-of-attack and experiencing an aerodynamic stall.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
