## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

08/03/3031: DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT: ON 06/18/2021, ENY 4355 WAS TAXIING INTO GATE G20 AT KORD AFTER AN UNEVENTFUL FLIGHT FROM KATW. THE TIME WAS 1100 CST LOCAL, WEATHER WAS VMC. THE RAMP PERSONNEL DIRECTED A LAST MINUTE CHANGE FROM GATE G14 TO G20. THIS REQUIRED AN UNUSUALLY TIGHT ENTRANCE INTO THE GATE FROM TAXIWAY A14 AT KORD. THIS APPROACH TO THE GATE REQUIRED THE FLIGHT CREW TO BE TOTALLY DEPENDENT UPON THE MARSHALLERS TO CLEAR THE TURN INTO GATE G20. ALL REQUIRED MARSHALLERS WERE PRESENT AND THE CAPTAIN FOLLOWED THEIR INSTRUCTIONS. THE CAPTAIN FOLLOWED THE GROUND CREWMEN'S INSTRUCTIONS PRECISELY, AS HIS VIEW INTO THE GATE WAS SLIGHTLY BEHIND HIM AS HE LOOKED OUT TO HIS LEFT. AS HE TURNED FURTHER LEFT, PER THE MARSHALLER'S INSTRUCTIONS, THE CAPTAIN FELT THE LEFT WINGTIP STRIKE SOMETHING. HE IMMEDIATELY STOPPED HIS AIRCRAFT. HIS LEFT WING TIP HAD PENETRATED THE TOP PORTION OF A PARKED FUEL TRUCK'S WINDSHIELD. NO FUEL WAS SPILLED.THE LEAD MARSHALLER HAD FAILED TO CLEAR THE TAXI ENVELOPE THAT WAS OUT OF VIEW OF THE CAPTAIN. BECAUSE OF THE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT'S LEFT WING TIP, THIS EVENT IS CLASSIFIED AS AN INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
