HE INDICATED HE PULLED BACK ON THE CONTROLS AND STALLED ABOUT 10 FEET ABOVE THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED HARD AND BOUNCED ON THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT ADDED POWER TO GO AROUND. THE PILOT STATED "I PUSHED THE POWER FORWARD AND THE PLANE TURNED LEFT AND FLEW INTO A DRAINAGE DITCH. THE AIRCRAFT WAS OPERATING 14 CFR PART 91. VFR CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. ## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN21LA280](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN21LA280), Jun 18, 2021: Cirrus Design SR22 (N729SA), Hayward, WI, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during landing with gusting wind.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
