## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N222BG WAS PILOTED BY OWNER ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ ON JUNE 19, 2021 WHEN HE MADE A LANDING AT SUNRIVER, OR (S21) AND LOST CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT ON LANDING ROLL OUT. HE REPORTED RECEIVING AWOS FOR S21 SEVERAL MILES NORTH AND HEARD WINDS LIGHT AND VARIABLE, SO HE SAID HE MADE A STRAIGHT IN APPROACH TO LAND RWY 18 WITHOUT ENTERING PATTERN MIDFIELD OR CHECKING WINDSOCK VISUALLY. HE REPORTED A REAR QUARTERING TAILWIND WAS ENCOUNTERED ON TOUCHDOWN RWY 18, AND WAS UNABLE TO KEEP AIRPLANE ON RUNWAY DURING ROLL OUT. N222BG LEFT RUNWAY AND HIT TAXI LIGHT WITH PROPELLER BLADE AS HE TRIED TO STOP THE AIRPLANE. SEVERAL OBSERVERS WERE PRESENT FOR THIS INCIDENT AND ONE PHOTOGRAPHED THE AIRPLANE AFTER HITTING THE LIGHT. PICTURE SENT TO FSDO. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ REPORTED HE CALLED A PILOT/MECHANIC FRIEND AFTER HITTING RUNWAY LIGHT AND THEY DECIDED DAMAGE WAS MINOR, SO HE TOOK OFF AGAIN AND FLEW TO HOME AIRPORT SMX IN CA WITHOUT MAKING REPAIRS TO PROPELLER AS REQUIRED BY HARTZELL MANUAL AND REGULATIONS. AN OBSERVER CALLED ATC TO REPORT HIS DEPARTING WITH A DAMAGED AIRPLANE ON 06/19/21. THE ATC MOR WAS EMAILED TO THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ FOR FOLLOW UP. METAR OBSERVATION IN MOR SHOW WINDS 360 AT 12 G18KTS AT NEARBY RDM AIRPORT, SO WINDS LIKELY SIMILAR AT S21 WHEN HE LANDED. NO OTHER DAMAGE TO AIRPLANE FROM THIS EVENT OTHER THAN THE PROPELLER BLADE DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
