## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN21LA291](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN21LA291), Jun 25, 2021: Piper PA-28-180 (N9277J), Loveland, CO, substantial damage. Probable cause: The flight instructor’s failure to maintain aircraft control during the landing flare and subsequent attempted go-around with a strong quartering crosswind.

## Other reports on N9277J (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19861022077369I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19861022077369I), Oct 22, 1986: Piper PA28180 (N9277J), Clarksville, MD, Minor damage. Aircraft landed long and ran off the end of the sod strip. Pilot passed a reexamination flight test.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
