JULY 2, 2021

AFTER REFUELING AND STARTUP, RECEIVED IFR CLEARANCE AND TAXI CLEARANCE AND

PROCEEDED TO RW25 VIA TAXIWAY D AT KEVB. NEARING THE HOLD SHORT LINE, THE PILOT ?ANGLED? THE

BEHIND ME DURING THE ENGINE RUN UP AND PROPELLER CHECKS.

WHEN ALL PREFLIGHT CHECKLIST ITEMS WERE COMPLETED, RECEIVED A TAKEOFF CLEARANCE AND

BEGAN TAXING TO RW25. AS THE PILOT STRAIGHTENED OUT THE AIRPLANE FROM ITS ANGLED POSITION ON

THE TAXIWAY, THEY DID NOT IMMEDIATELY RETURN TO THE TAXIWAY CENTERLINE. AS THEY APPROACHED THE

EDGE OF THE TAXIWAY, THE RIGHT ENGINE PROPELLER STRUCK TWO ELEVATED TAXIWAY LIGHTS. PILOT REPORTED HEARING A LOUD NOISE AS THE PROPELLER BLADES SHATTERED UPON IMPACT WITH THE TAXIWAY LIGHTS.

PILOT CALLED THE TOWER AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND WAS CLEARED TO TAXI BACK TO THE RAMP FOR REPAIRS. UPON SHUTDOWN OF THE ENGINES, PILOT INSPECTED AND PHOTOGRAPHED THE DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT ENGINE PROP AND TO THE FUSELAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
