ON JULY 2, 2021 AT 0220 CENTRAL STANDARD TIME, A BEECH DEBONAIR, N302Z, WAS DESTOYED WHEN IT IMPACTED A PATCH OF TREES IN A REMOTE AREA, ABOUT 14 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ADA REGIONAL AIRPORT (ADH). THE DEBRIS FIELD WAS ABOUT 70 YARDS LONG, ALONG A HEADING OF ABOUT 110 DEGREES. THE PILOT AND PASSENGER SUSTAINED FATAL INJURIES. THE AIRPLANE WAS OPERATED AS A 14 CFR PART 91 FLIGHT.

WEATHER WAS IMC AROUND MOST SURROUNDING AREAS AND COULD BE CONTRIBUTING FACTOR TO THIS EVENT, AND IS CURRENTLY UNDER INVESTIGATION BY THE NTSB.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN21FA300](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN21FA300), Jul 2, 2021: Beech 35-33 (N302Z), Roff, OK, destroyed, 2 fatal. Probable cause: The pilot’s loss of airplane control due to spatial disorientation during low-level nighttime flight.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
