## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED IT WAS AN HARD LANDING EVENT. NOSE GEAR TIRE BURST, BOTH NOSE GEAR WHEEL HUB AND ALL THREE PROPELLER BLADES CONTACTED RWY SURFACE. TIRE MARKINGS FROM ALL THREE GEAR ON RWY INDICATE A/C SKIDDED FOR ±440' BEFORE LEAVING LEFT SIDE OF RWY, SKIDDING ANOTHER ±120' BEFORE COMING TO REST FACING OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF FLIGHT. WHEN A/C DEPARTED RWY, BOTH RIGHT WING AND RIGHT ELEVATOR MADE CONTACT WITH THE GROUND. EMPENNAGE HAS SKIN BUCKLING ON TOP AND BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT SIDES FORWARD OF ELEVATOR.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA21LA279](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA21LA279), Jul 6, 2021: Textron T206 (N302WD), Statesville, NC, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control while landing, which resulted in a runway excursion and collision with terrain.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
