## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS PERFORMING A CROW HOP ON RWY 27 TO CHECK THE ENGINE FOR FUEL STARVATION. PILOT TOOK OFF ON RWY 27 AND CLIMBED TO 200'. UPON REACHING 200' THE PILOT NOSED THE AIRPLANE OVER AND THE ENGINE QUIT. THE PILOT NOTICED THE ENGINE COMPUTER CIRCUIT BREAKER HAD POPPED AND HE ATTEMPTED TO RESET THE CIRCUIT BREAKER AND IT WOULD NOT RESET. AT THAT TIME HE KNEW THE ENGINE WOULD NOT RESTART. HE CONTINUED TO NOSE THE AIRPLANE OVER TO MAINTAIN AN AIRSPEED OF 75 MPH AND LAND THE AIRCRAFT. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MAINTAIN A SAFE AIRSPEED THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE RUNWAY HARD COLLAPSING THE LANDING GEAR.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN21LA309](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN21LA309), Jul 6, 2021: Titan T-51D (N15180), Ashtabula, OH, substantial damage. Probable cause: The tripped engine control computer circuit breaker caused by an excessive electrical load on the system, which resulted in a complete loss of engine power during the initial climb.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
