## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE FOLLOWING IS A STATEMENT THE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC HAD WITH THE PILOT AFTER THE INCIDENT: "THE PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS IN A TURNING MANEUVER AND WAS ALSO DISTRACTED BY AN ATC CALLOUT FOR TRAFFIC WHILE APPROACHING THE AIRPORT FOR LANDING. HE TOLD ME HE WASN?T SURE IF HE HAD VISUALLY CONFIRMED THE LANDING GEAR WAS DOWN BY REFERENCING THE LANDING GEAR DOWN POSITION INDICATOR LIGHT. HE ALSO MENTIONED THAT HE DID NOT RECALL IF HE HAD OBSERVED AERODYNAMIC CHANGES OR SOUNDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE MECHANICAL EXTENSION OF THE LANDING GEAR DUE TO THE DISTRACTIONS DESCRIBED. HE ALSO ADDED THAT HE DID NOT HEAR A LANDING GEAR UNSAFE WARNING HORN".

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
