## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT TOOK OFF FROM WASILLA (PAWS) AIRPORT, APPROXIMATELY 10 MILES SOUTH OF TALKEETNA (TKA) AIRPORT THE AIRCRAFT ENGINE STARTED TO MISS FIRE. MINOR AT FIRST AND THEN WOULD RUN NORMAL BUT INCREASINGLY GOT WORSE. ABOUT 5 MINS LATER THE ENGINE COULD NOT PRODUCE ENOUGH POWER FOR CONTINUED FLIGHT. PILOT MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING ON THE HIGHWAY. MINOR DAMAGE TO THE TOP OF THE VERTICAL STAB. THIS WAS CAUSED BY HITTING LOW POWER LINE. NO OTHER DAMAGE. PILOT MADE A GREAT NO POWER LANDING. IT IS BELIEVED THAT THE LOSS OF POWER WAS CAUSED BY A STUCK INTAKE VALVE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
