## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ HAD LAUNCHED NORMALLY AND SUCCESSFULLY DELIVERED PACKAGE AT DROP POINT. DURING THE RETURN PORTION OF THE FLIGHT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ SELF-COMMANDED AN URGENT LAND COMMAND, TRANSITIONED FROM FORWARD FLIGHT BACK INTO VTOL AND DESCENDED TOWARD THE GROUND. AT ABOUT 15 METERS ABOVE THE GROUND THE AIRCRAFT YAWED EXCESSIVELY DURING FINAL LANDING MANEUVERS AND APPEARED TO BE ROLLING OVER. A FLIGHT TERMINATION COMMAND WAS INITIATED BY A SAFETY OBSERVER. AIRCRAFT IMPACTED GROUND UPSIDE DOWN WITH SUBSTANTUAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

REVIEW OF COLLECTED FLIGHT DATA REVEALED A (30053) ROPULSION_SYSTEM_MOTOR_REAR_ RIGHT_WARNING HAD BEEN GENERATED WHEN THE #1 MOTOR (REAR RIGHT) ELECTRONIC SPEED CONTROL LOST DC POWER INPUT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
