## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PIC STATED THAT FOLLOWING AN UNEVENTFUL FLIGHT HE LANDED ON RWY 14 WITH NORMAL TOUCHDOWN AND ROLLOUT TO ABOUT 3000 FT DOWN THE RUNWAY. WHEN NOSE GEAR STEERING SWITCH WAS ENGAGED TO TAXI THE AIRCRAFT MADE AN AGGRESSIVE LEFT TURN FROM CENTERLINE AND PIC WAS UNABLE TO STEER OR STOP THE AIRCRAFT BEFORE IT DEPARTED THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. THE RIGHT ENGINE PROPELLER STRUCK A RUNWAY BOUNDARY LIGHT DURING THE EXCURSION. THE PROPELLER WAS IN A FEATHERED POSITION WITH THROTTLES RETARDED RENDERING THE DAMAGE DEFINED AS MINOR IN NATURE. INITIAL MAINTENANCE TROUBLESHOOTING REVEALED THAT THE NOSE WHEEL STEERING ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (P/N: 27-19087-007) WAS FOUND TO BE LOCKED IN A LEFT TURN CONFIGURATION IRRESPECTIVE OF CONTROL INPUTS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
