## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N1472E FLOWN BY ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ AND HIS SON ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS REPORTED BY WITNESSES TO HAVE ABORTED FIRST TAKE OFF ATTEMPT ALMOST RESULTING IN A GROUND LOOP.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THEN TAXIED BACK AND DEPARTED THE 2TE2 AIRPORT.

DURING THE DEPARTURE CLIMB IT WAS REPORTED BY WITNESSES THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS CLIMBING OUT SLOWER THAT EXPECTED BOTH IN VERTICAL AND FORWARD SPEEDS. UPON REACHING ROUGHLY 100FT AGL N1472E STALLED AND ENTERED A LEFT SPIN.

N1472E IMPACTED THE GROUND IN A NOSE DOWN ATTITUDE ROUGHLY A QUARTER OF A MILE SOUTH EAST OF THE DEPARTURE END OF THE RUNWAY.

DURING POST ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION THE AIRCRAFT OPERATION LIMITATIONS AS WELL AS AIRCRAFT WEIGHT AND BALANCE WERE RECOVERED.

FAA IIC PERFORMED WEIGHT AND BALANCE CALCULATIONS FINDING THAT FULL FUEL RESULTED IN AN AIRCRAFT WEIGHT OF 1445.6 AND A ZERO FUEL WEIGHT RESULTED IN AIRCRAFT WEIGHT OF 1373.6. BOTH OF THESE WEIGHTS EXCEEDED THE AIRCRAFTS PUBLISHED OPERATION LIMITATION FOR MAXIMUM TAKE-OFF WEIGHT 1220 POUNDS.

NTSB INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT FOUND NO AIRFRAME OR ENGINE IRREGULARITIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

Probable cause: The pilot’s exceedance of the airplane’s critical angle of attack during the initial climb, which resulted in an aerodynamic stall. Contributing to the accident was the pilot’s inadequate preflight…

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
